
CHESTERVILLE – Police have arrested a North Dundas teenager in connection to a stabbing in Chesterville early Saturday morning.
SD&G O.P.P. say a 31-year-old man was attacked inside his home on Queen Street just after 2 a.m. by someone with a weapon.
The victim was treated at hospital for multiple stab wounds and police expect him to recover.
A 17-year-old was arrested and he is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, common assault and uttering threats.
Police say the teen was wanted in connection to a separate assault at a Winchester business on Friday (Oct. 23) where another youth was attacked.
After his arrest, the accused also had to be treated at hospital for injuries and will appear in court in Cornwall today.
His name was not released because he’s a minor.
