AVONMORE – A driver from Alberta is dead after his vehicle lost control on County Road 15 (Avonmore Road) Thursday night and struck a house.
SD&G O.P.P. say it happened around 8:30 p.m. at Duff’s Corners Road, about two kilometers south of Avonmore, when a southbound vehicle left the road and hit the house.
Police say there were no injuries to anyone inside the home.
The 19-year-old man from Redcliff, Alta. was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
A section of Avonmore Road from County Road 43 to Rush City Road was closed last night for an investigation but it’s open now.
Police are still trying to determine the cause of the crash.
