The two-storey country home had a number of greenhouses at the back of the property.

Around 12:30 p.m., a backhoe was still loading hundreds of marijuana plants into the back of two South Dundas dump trucks before they were escorted by police from the property, presumably to be disposed.

The pungent smell of marijuana filled the air all around the property and on the road as passersby slowed down to see what was going on.

A number of large plastic tote containers were sitting on the front lawn of the home with what appeared to be dried marijuana bud.

SD&G O.P.P. Const. Tylor Copeland told Cornwall Newswatch “there’s an investigation ongoing…they’re in the initial stages of that. They’ve removed some individuals off the property.”

Copeland hoped to release more information tomorrow.
