CORNWALL – Local Tim Hortons coffee shop owners are gearing up for an annual campaign that will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Cornwall and SD&G.

The Smile Cookie campaign runs from Sept. 14-20 and owners will be donating 100 per cent of the proceeds from the $1 cookies to support the organization.

Outlets in Cornwall and South Lancaster are participating with an official launch on Monday afternoon at the 1380 Marleau Avenue location.

“Smile Cookie supports our youth programs offered in SD&G and we are grateful for the support from local Tim Horton families. Our community is helping us put smiles on kids faces by sharing, eating and purchasing Smile Cookies!” BGC Executive Director Jacquie Richards said in a prepared statement.

Last year, the Smile Cookie campaign raised $9.8 million for charities across Canada.
