
MARTINTOWN – Provincial police caught a driver Monday night going over double the posted speed limit on a county road near Martintown.
SD&G O.P.P. say one of their officers caught the vehicle on radar around 10 p.m. at 176 kilometers an hour on County Road 20 in South Glengarry.
The county road has a speed limit of 80.
The 34-year-old driver from South Glengarry had their car impounded for a week and their licence suspended for a week as well.
They will also have a court date where further sanctions are likely.
This was one of four drivers caught between Monday and Wednesday and charged with stunt driving in SD&G.
