
MORRISBURG – A North Dundas man has died after an accidental drowning at the Morrisburg public dock.
Provincial police say a 43-year-old was rescued by bystanders after having some sort of medical episode in the St. Lawrence River off the Lakeshore Drive dock around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
SD&G O.P.P. officers assisted with CPR before paramedics with the Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Service showed up to continue CPR.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
Police say there is nothing criminal related to the death and the case has been turned over to the regional coroner.
