Letter to the Editor: What happened to support local?

As a local restaurant owner in regards to Ribfest 2020, we have by order of the federal government been shut down since March 17. We have been doing takeout and delivery in order to try to say alive, stay in business. Our revenues have dropped 80-90%. How does allowing Ribfest to proceed make sense in the wake of these events? How does allowing Ribfest to proceed help local restaurants in the wake of these events? What happened to support local?
