CORNWALL – City police have made a child pornography bust and charged a local man.

Members of the Cornwall Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit, the Criminal Investigation Division and community patrol officers searched the man’s home Thursday (May 21).

The investigation had been referred to local authorities from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Center in April, police spokesman Stephanie MacRae told Cornwall Newswatch.

Travis Wall, 26, of Cornwall was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.

Several electronic devices were seized during the search warrant.

Wall was released and will appear in a Cornwall court Aug. 11.

MacRae says they believe there were no local victims related to this investigation.

As more people are staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic, the CPS reminds families to have safe internet practices in place in order to protect their children.
