
First, if Cornwall City Council wants to meet in person then let them show the example and wear mask and observe social distancing. They are not immune, albeit some may act like they know all the answers.
If Cornwall (residents) are not social distancing, and I believe it’s because you can see multiple individuals not abiding by social distancing and not wearing a mask, then the mayor needs to pass an executive order that if you’re out, you’re mandated to wear a mask. Period.
As for closing Pitt Street, I was involved in the original discussions. I opposed it then and still do. It didn’t work then and it won’t work now. Closing the street is a big part of the decline of the downtown. Take traffic away, people go other places. Want to end lock downs and deaths, then abide by the rules.
