BASF virtual food drive raises thousands

CORNWALL – A chemical company with operations in Cornwall has raised over $64,000 toward Canadian food banks.

BASF held a virtual food drive with its employees in March and April and raised $64,398.20 for Food Banks Canada for coronavirus relief efforts. It will go to over 3,000 food banks across the country.

The Cornwall plant on Wallrich Avenue, which makes chemicals for handling and molding plastics, has 30 employees. The company has over 1,200 employees across Canada.
