MAXVILLE – A woman from Smiths Falls is facing three charges after a dust-up with an SD&G O.P.P. officer and causing a scene inside a North Glengarry business.
Police say they got a report of an unruly customer Thursday night (April 9) inside a County Road 20 business who was being “aggressive with staff.”
By the time the officer arrived, the woman was found nearby. During the arrest, the officer was assaulted.
A 33-year-old woman from Smiths Falls is facing charges of assaulting a police officer, being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act and engaging in a prohibited activity on premises under the Trespass to Property Act.
The woman has a June court date on Cornwall.
