CORNWALL – For witnesses to a crash on Sunday on Brookdale Avenue, it may have looked horrific, with an SUV landing on its roof.

But Cornwall police say no one was injured after the collision around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Ninth Street involving the Nissan SUV and another SUV – a Honda.

Police spokesman Stephanie MacRae told Cornwall Newswatch that after the initial crash, the SUV “subsequently lost control and struck a snowbank, causing it to flip” on its roof.

MacRae said there were no injuries to the people in both vehicles.

Part of the intersection was closed for about an hour Sunday afternoon for a cleanup and tow.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
