WINCHESTER – The Winchester District Memorial Hospital welcomed its first baby of 2020.
Leo Garrah arrived at 7:08 a.m. on Jan. 1.
He is the first child for Joelle Carpentier and Tristan Garrah, who recently moved to Osgoode.
“Everything was great,” Tristan Garrah said. “Joëlle’s cousin had a baby at WDMH and highly recommended it. It was fantastic. I’d recommend it to anyone. It’s much easier to drive south and the parking was great too!”
The couple and baby went home several hours later with a care package from WDMH nurses which included blankets, outfits and bibs for baby Leo.
Winchester can claim the first baby of 2020 in SD&G.
Muhammad Rayyan Khurram arrived at the Cornwall Community Hospital sometime on Wednesday night.
