Earlier in 2019, new data released by the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) showed that around 63% of Canadians diagnosed with cancer will survive at least 5 years after their diagnosis compared to 55% in the early 1990s. This unprecedented improvement wouldn’t be possible without incredible advancements made in cancer research to improve diagnosis, treatment and care for people living with and beyond cancer.
