Minor earthquake near Cornwall

CORNWALL – No, that wasn’t a large truck rumbling by Tuesday morning.

The region was hit by a minor earthquake this morning about 18 kilometers below ground.

The quake was centered in Northern New York State, about 10 kilometers southwest of Cornwall, Ont.

It came in as a magnitude 2.9 and hit at 9:19 a.m., according to Natural Resources Canada.

There are no reports of damage.
