CORNWALL – Depending on the weather forecast, you may not be able to park on the street overnight in Cornwall starting tonight.

Conditional overnight parking restrictions come into effect at midnight.

As of Nov. 15 (Friday), you can’t park on the street overnight if there’s snow forecast for the area which would leave more than 5 centimeters (2 inches) on the ground.

The overnight hours are 1 a.m. until 7 a.m.

At this point (2 p.m. Thursday), based on the Environment Canada forecast, it doesn’t look like there will be a restriction in place tonight (early Friday morning) but that could change, according to the city.

These less-restrictive rules are in effect until Dec. 15 when an all-out overnight ban is in effect until the end of March 2020.
