Two injured in Fourth Street East crash

CORNWALL – Two people were injured Sunday night after a two vehicle crash on Fourth Street East in Cornwall.

City police say the collision happened just east of Pitt Street around 6 p.m.

Both drivers were taken to hospital by ambulance and were treated for undisclosed injuries.

Cornwall Police Service spokesman Stephanie MacRae told Cornwall Newswatch that Cornwall Electric had to be called after one of the vehicles hit and damaged a light pole.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The investigating officer is Const. Nygel Pelletier at 613-933-5000 extension 2798.
