
SD&G – Trick-or-treaters across SD&G are going to have to brace against wind and cover up from the rain tonight (Thursday).
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for all of SD&G, while the southern half of SD&G and Cornwall is also under a wind warning (as of 3:25 p.m.).
Wind gusts from the southwest up to 90 kilometers an hour is expected tonight before it weakens into Friday morning.
Between 40-50 millimeters (1.57-1.96 inches) of rain is expected tonight and there’s also the possibility of a thunderstorm.
The Cornwall Police Service says Halloween is still going ahead as planned and is asking people not to tie up their phone lines because those lines are needed for emergencies.
