CORNWALL – The Cornwall Community Hospital has received an exemplary standing from Accreditation Canada, the hospital announced Thursday.
The McConnell Avenue hospital received a 99.3 per cent score after going through an onsite inspection where it was evaluated on over 2,000 quality criteria.
The inspection by a team of four people, included interviews with staff, patients and their families, as well as a review of hospital policies and procedures.
The accreditation is a voluntary exercise. Accreditation Canada has evaluated over 7,000 sites worldwide.
