The fire ban is a good thing. This should have never happened in the City of Cornwall. City council at that time allowed open air burning…and a dump to be built in the middle of the city. They also sold a cash cow that the city owned, Cornwall Electric (the consultant made money).
The industries closed in the city we were finally able to open our windows in the summer and enjoy fresh air. There were neighbours that burnt every night and the smoke went into our home.
Is this not the same as a neighbour playing their music loud? Why should your neighbour two blocks over have any effect on your quality of life?
