MAXVILLE – Two people from Cornwall have been charged after a home invasion Thursday (July 11) in North Glengarry.

Provincial police say two people, wearing disguises, broke into a home just before 6 a.m. on Kenyon Concession Road 8 and held a victim against his will.

Several items were stolen from the house before the culprits drove away with the victim before dumping the vehicle nearby.

“Officers responding to the call located the vehicle a short distance away with the victim inside. The victim was not injured,” the O.P.P. said.

Police have since arrested and charged a 30-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman – both from Cornwall. They were held for a bail hearing.
