Rash of petty theft from vehicles around St. Andrews West

LONG SAULT – Provincial police are urging people to lock their vehicles after a rash of petty theft around St. Andrews West.

Police say they have had “multiple reports” of stuff being taken from cars and trucks parked along County Road 18, Headline Road and in the subdivision of Rosedale Terrace.

In most cases, the thief is getting away with pocket change, credit cards and wallets.

SD&G O.P.P. are also asking anyone who might have a security camera recording during the past several weeks in those areas to give them a call.

Police also have a vague description of a possible suspect – a guy on a bicycle wearing a hoodie and a backpack.
