Two Cornwall parks getting new playground units

CORNWALL – Children in two Cornwall neighbourhoods will enjoy new playground equipment in their municipal parks later this month.

Workers with Cornwall Parks and Landscaping were at Ray Lalonde Memorial Park off Blossom Park Drive this afternoon (Monday) to start tearing out the old slides and swings.

The other unit will also be removed at Ashwood Green Park at the corner of St. Antoine Street and Morris Street (east of McConnell Avenue, north of the railway overpass).

But parents, don’t fret, because new play units are going to be installed later this month.

Each unit is $60,000 and was included in the 2019 budget.

Blue Imp Recreational Products of Medicine Hat, Alta. will be doing the installs.

You will still be able to use the parks during construction – the site work will be fenced off.
