CORNWALL – A section of Guy Street was closed late Thursday afternoon after a man was found with no vital signs outside a home.

Emergency responders were in the 200 block of Guy Street, between Easton Avenue and Walton Street, just before 5 p.m.

“There was an elderly male who was found without vital signs outside and appears to be nothing suspicious with this,” Acting Sgt. Daniel Doyon told Cornwall Newswatch.

At this point, it appears to be an accident or the man had some sort of medical episode.

“A neighbour called in saying that he found him. (It) looked like he had just fallen,” Doyon said.

The man was pronounced dead at hospital.

“We have officers who are going to be following up to see if there are any witnesses but there is no foul play suspected,” Doyon explained.

A section of the road between Easton Avenue and Walton Street was closed to traffic for the investigation.
