Cornwall woman charged with making fake sexual assault claims

CORNWALL – A city woman is accused of making phony sexual assault and domestic violence allegations against her boyfriend.

Cornwall police say they started a criminal investigation after the complaints were filed with them in September and October 2018.

The woman who made the claims turned herself into police on Friday (March 22).

She has been charged with public mischief and will appear in court next month.

Her name wasn’t released to protect the identity of the victim.
