CORNWALL – Another accused as part of a larger plot to kill a Cornwall man has reached a plea deal.

Court records show Michael Pare, 49, of Cornwall accepted a one day sentence on Feb. 11, 2019 and received credit of 48 days for pre-sentence custody.

Pare was originally charged with aggravated assault, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, two counts of breach of probation and failing to appear for fingerprints.

He was the only one of eight people not charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the Jan. 7, 2019 attack on a man in a Guy Street home. The victim was bound with duct tape and beaten with a “variety of weapons,” police said.

The seven other accused in the case are making their way through the court system or have already accepted plea deals.
