CORNWALL – One person has been taken to hospital with minor injuries after a crash involving three vehicles at a city intersection Thursday.

Emergency responders were called to First Street East and Marlborough Street around 11:30 a.m.

The crash involved a Toyota Corolla, a Dodge Caravan and a Volkswagen Passat.

Cornwall police Sgt. Dave MacLean told Cornwall Newswatch there was only one person in each vehicle and the injuries were believed to be minor in nature.

One person was seen on a stretcher and being put in an ambulance by paramedics with Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Services.

An investigation is ongoing to determine fault. According to witnesses, one of the vehicles went through the stop sign on First Street East, which is a one-way street, heading east.

The crash was caught on a security camera at MacMillan’s Convenience, which police were going to look at as part of their investigation.
