SD&G – Environment Canada says a moisture-laden system from Texas is expected to hit Ontario Wednesday night and into Thursday, bringing snow, ice pellets and freezing rain.

The weather agency issued a special weather statement Monday afternoon.

It says Eastern Ontario can expect 5-10 centimeters (1.96-3.93 inches) of snow and ice pellets to start Wednesday night before it changes over to freezing rain by Thursday morning.
