CORNWALL – Around 50 teams and 500-600 competitors will be at the Cornwall Civic Complex tomorrow (Saturday) for a provincial cheer competition.

Winter Blast by the Ontario Cheerleading Federation will see some teams looking to punch their ticket to the world championships in Orlando, Fla. later this year.

This is the second time the competition has been in the Seaway City.

“We were really pleased with the venue and the community support in Cornwall last year,” said Tara Savoie, Ontario Cheerleading Federation President. “The Civic Complex is a great facility for this type of event and the location is convenient for many of our competitors.”

The event runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and costs $13.50 for adults and $8.50 for seniors and children.
