Travel advisory as SD&G hit with freezing drizzle, ice pellets

SD&G – Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory as the region gets hit with freezing drizzle this afternoon (Wednesday).

Snow and ice pellets with a risk of freezing drizzle is expected this afternoon and there could be 2-4 centimeters (0.8-1.6 inches) of the wintry mix on the ground by later tonight.

The freezing drizzle is expected to continue through the overnight and then most of Thursday.

While there are no weather watches or warnings, Environment Canada says freezing drizzle advisories may be issued.
