SD&G – The three hospitals serving Stormont-Dundas and Glengarry have received nearly $1 million combined for fix ups to their properties.
The one-time infrastructure funding was announced by Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott last week as part of a $175 million Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund package for 128 hospitals province-wide.
Cornwall Community Hospital is getting the lion’s share locally at $727,768, which will be used for upgrades to the service elevators and electrical systems. It will also be used for upgrades to the isolation room ventilation system in the Janet MacDonell Pavillion.
In North Dundas, Winchester District Memorial Hospital got $197,467 for minor renovations and to repair some damage from water leaks.
Glengarry Memorial Hospital in Alexandria received $43,654.
