SD&G – After several days of frigid cold, another storm system is moving into the area and bringing the threat of more snow mixed with freezing rain.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement this afternoon (Tuesday), calling for snow tonight and through Wednesday – about 10-15 centimeters (4-6 inches) – and that will change to freezing rain “later in the day.”

The agency says freezing rain warnings may be required sometime on Wednesday as the storm from Colorado moves closer to Eastern Ontario.

“Poor winter driving conditions are expected.”
