CORNWALL – A sentencing hearing has been set for the end of May for former Cornwall financial advisor Gilles Saucier.

The case was heard in the Cornwall Superior Court of Justice assignment court yesterday (Jan. 17) to set the date for sentencing submissions.

That date is May, 31, 2019, where the Crown and defence lawyers will tell the judge what they think should be an appropriate sentence.

Gilles Saucier was found guilty in December on 33 investment-related charges of fraud, theft, misappropriation of funds and forgery. They related to investment dealings with 10 clients when he was president of Gilden Financial Solutions Corporation.
