SD&G – If you’re going out or planning an outdoor New Year’s Eve event, you’ll want to dress for all kinds of winter weather.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Sunday afternoon, calling for a “messy mix” of winter weather to greet revelers on the last day of 2018.
The weather agency says snowfall of 5-10 centimeters (2-4 inches) will come Monday night, coupled with the threat of freezing rain.
“There is also a possibility that some areas will climb above the freezing mark for a period of time Monday night,” resulting in rain, it said.
The forecast is calling for a high of 0 tomorrow and +1 on New Year’s Eve and then +4 on New Year’s Day.
