BONVILLE – Two people were injured Saturday morning after a two vehicle crash on Highway 138 near here.

It happened around 10:40 a.m. on a section of the road between Myers Road and Wheeler Road, south of Bonville.

The crash was a head-on involving a small car and a pickup truck.

O.P.P. East Region Sgt. Cynthia Savard told Cornwall Newswatch one of the two drivers had to be extricated from their vehicle.

As bad as it looked, there were no serious injuries, Savard said.

A section of the highway from Myers Road to St. Andrews West was closed shortly after the crash but reopened around 12:15 p.m.

South Stormont firefighters were cleared from the scene before noon.

An O.P.P. investigation is ongoing though the crash was not serious enough to warrant an O.P.P. Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team to come to the area.
