Raise for St. Regis tribal workers

AKWESASNE, N.Y. — Minimum wage employees with the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe will be getting a raise in the new year.

The minimum wage is going up 34 cents to $11.82 U.S. per hour. The 2018 increase was 45 cents.

The change will affect 136 government employees.

The hourly wage is still more than the New York State minimum wage.
