BUSH GLEN – A fourth Cornwallite has been arrested and charged in connection to a violent home invasion in South Stormont last week.

SD&G O.P.P. say two people, wearing disguises and carrying weapons, burst into a home on Collins Road just after midnight on Thursday last week (Dec. 6) and beat up two “adult victims.”

The perpetrators got away with items in the home but were caught by police nearby, with a third person – the driver – allegedly drunk behind the wheel.

At that time, a fourth suspect had ran away before police got there.

Police announced today (Dec. 13) that the fourth suspect, a 49-year-old Cornwall man, was arrested yesterday and charged.

The other accused are a 25-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man – all from Cornwall.

They are facing a number of charges, including robbery.

The victims were treated and released from hospital.
