CP Holiday Train stops Wednesday in Finch

FINCH – The Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train has rolled out of Montreal and will be making a stop in North Stormont this afternoon (Wednesday).

The train will pull into Finch on the tracks next to James Street, between William Street and George Street.

It’s expected to arrive at 2:30 p.m. and will be there for a half hour.

Country music star Terri Clark is on board along with Winnipeg singer-songwriter Sierra Noble and singer Kelly Prescott.

The CP Holiday Train, which raises money, food and awareness for local food banks, is making its 20th run.

The event is free but you’re asked to bring a food or money donation for Community Food Share, which serves the counties of Stormont and Dundas.

The train will also make stops in Merrickville at 4:45 p.m. and Smiths Falls at 6:20 p.m.

Since 1999, the train has raised more than $14.5 million and 4.3 million pounds of food for North American food banks.
