CORNWALL – The City of Cornwall is looking for its next deputy fire chief.

Bruce Donig, who’s been with the Cornwall Fire Department for 23 years, has moved into the city’s human resources department to be manager of employee relations.

Donig was appointed deputy fire chief in July 2015.

The city has put out a job ad looking for someone with at least 10 years experience who will “provide progressive leadership, continuous improvement activities and strategic direction to the Cornwall Fire Service.”

The deadline for submissions is Dec. 5.

In addition to the deputy fire chief, the department has 64 employees including 56 firefighters.
