OTTAWA – A former Ottawa school teacher from Morrisburg will appear in court next week on a historical sexual assault charge.
Robert Clarke, 74, was charged last month by the Ottawa Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit with a single count of gross indecency.
Clarke is accused of inappropriately touching a male student in the late 1970s while he was a teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
In April, Clarke was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to eight of 11 charges he was facing for similar acts – six counts of gross indecency and two counts of sexual assault.
He will appear in an Ottawa court on Tuesday (Nov. 13).
An Ottawa police investigation is still open as investigators believe there may still be more victims.
