North Stormont has two new councillors

BERWICK – With acclamation setting up the mayor and deputy mayor positions in North Stormont, voters only had to decide on their councillors and English school board trustees this time around.

Jim Wert was acclaimed as mayor and Francois Landry as deputy mayor.

When it came to council, voters picked the one incumbent, Randy Douglas, to come back for another four year term. He received 858 votes.

The two new faces on council got more votes than him. Roxane Villeneuve had 1,352 votes and Steve Densham had 889.

Results for the UCDSB and CDSBEO trustees was not available.
