CORNWALL – A fire investigation has been unable to pinpoint the origin of a Friday fire, which levelled a two-car garage in Riverdale.
But Cornwall Fire Services Platoon Chief Luc Richer told Cornwall Newswatch this morning the fire has been deemed accidental.
Firefighters were called to 1410 Leonard Avenue around 7:45 p.m. Friday and the garage was fully involved by the time they arrived. It collapsed shortly after.
Richer says, in addition to the entire garage and its contents being destroyed by the flames, the fire did cause some damage to a neighbour’s fence, swimming pool and trampoline.
There was no dollar value available for the overall damage.
No one was injured in the fire.
