CORNWALL – An up-and-coming business at Pointe Maligne is vandalized in the final days of its season.

Farm & Forest Food Experience owner Mark Currier posted on the company’s Facebook page last week that their trailer at the end of Bergeron Drive was “vandalized and ransacked.”

The company, which creates a menu from locally sourced products, was in its final days of operation for the season.

“As the trailer was being made to close for the season, it was quite empty. They did however manage to steal a great deal of homemade bacon,” Currier wrote.

“It’s hard enough being a small business owner without having to worry about any lack of human decency,” he said.

Cornwall Community Police Service spokesman Stephanie MacRae said an investigation is in its “early stages” but confirmed a break and enter was reported to them Sept. 19.
