Second arrest in handgun at Cornwall bar

CORNWALL – City police have arrested a second person in connection to someone packing a handgun at a local bar.

Police say it happened on Wednesday last week (Aug. 1) when the man was spotted with the gun and they were called to investigate.

A 41-year-old Cornwall man turned himself into police on Friday (Aug. 10). He is facing nine charges including carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing a police officer.

A 22-year-old man was arrested the day after the gun sighting (Aug. 2) and is facing similar charges.

Police recovered the loaded gun during the first arrest.
