
FINCH – Under the cover of darkness, a driver in North Stormont was caught going 60 kilometers an hour over the speed limit on Tuesday, provincial police said.
The woman was pulled over around 3 a.m. Tuesday on County Road 43 after a police officer caught her on radar at 140 kilometers an hour.
The speed limit on the road, which runs through the villages of Finch, Avonmore and Monkland, is 80.
Police did not disclose the age and hometown of the driver, other than she was from Ontario. Her licence was suspended for a week and her car impounded for seven days.
