Possible severe thunderstorms for SD&G

Update 6:53 p.m. Wednesday: The severe thunderstorm watch has ended.

SD&G – Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the region.

The weather bulletin at 3:15 p.m. said conditions are favourable for severe thunderstorms but the main threat is downpours of 50 millimeters (2 inches) of rain.

The forecast is calling for the thunderstorms to begin late this afternoon and into tonight.
