Thirty-one charges laid in North Dundas drug bust

CHESTERVILLE – A North Dundas Township man is facing 31 charges after a drug bust near here early last week.

On Tuesday (May 29), Ontario Provincial Police searched a property on County Road 7, seizing marijuana, various marijuana plants, crystal meth, meth pills, GHB, speed pills, cocaine and cash.

Multiple firearms, including a sawed off shotgun, were also seized, in addition to ammunition and an all-terrain vehicle.

SD&G O.P.P. announced today (June 5) they arrested 29-year-old Brandon Elliott.

He is facing six counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, nine counts of possession of property obtained by crime, seven counts of careless storage of a firearm, four counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and one count each of producing a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited firearm and unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm.

He was held for a bail hearing in Cornwall.
