CORNWALL – The United Way has finished tallying the proceeds from its spring signature event.
The second annual Handbags for Heroes fundraiser on April 26 at the Cornwall Civic Complex raised $31,000.
Participants bid on designer handbags, as well as enjoyed eats and drinks, during the fashion show.
“Thanks to the generosity of many local sponsors we showcased gorgeous designer handbags that were up for live auction such as Coach, Michael Kors, Tory Burch and more which are representative of our partner agencies,” said Angie Baker, United Way board member.
The United Way supports 18 programs through 17 agencies in SD&G.
