SUDBURY, Ont. – A woman from Cornwall has died in a single vehicle tractor-trailer crash on the outskirts of Sudbury.
Sudbury O.P.P. say Jennifer Bastasich, 33, was a passenger in the truck when it crashed on Highway 17, east of Greater Sudbury Regional Road 55, around 6:20 a.m. Tuesday (April 17).
Bastasich was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver, Kimberly-Ann Warden, also from Cornwall (no age provided), has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
The crash closed the westbound lanes of Highway 17 for around 12 hours yesterday for a police investigation.
At this point, the O.P.P. has ruled out weather and road conditions.
