City man arrested after six week crime tear

CORNWALL – A city man has been arrested after going on a six week crime tear across the city.

Cornwall police allege the man went to “numerous” businesses in the city, breaking into “multiple” change machines using a bar, as well as using the same weapon in a home invasion.

The suspect is also accused of shoplifting from a Brookdale Avenue store last week (April 3).

Kelly Tan, 47, of Cornwall was arrested yesterday (April 10) and is facing 11 charges, including assault with a weapon, robbery and mischief.

Tan was held for a bail hearing.
